Much better, that made more sense as despite appearances they were a small car and getting in/out of the rear 4 door cars was very awkward. A bit like a 4 door A35.

The best thing about a 309 was it wasn't a 205, those were truly awful cars.

I liked the 205XR my wife had, I've never driven a 309 though.
in some ways it was better than my MK2 Golf GTi that I had at the time.

I was amazingly underwhelmed by them after the hype. The NA diesel was the only good one as it did silly OMGMPGs

The Audi is back on all 4 wheels, spent the majority of yesterday shouting and swearing and hitting things with hammers trying to get the beam lined up and new mounts in the correct position. Still needs a couple of bits of welding and everything bolted back together properly but I think the wheels are in the right position, if not I'll cut the mounts off and start again...
