Re: EBay Finds
I remember it being offered for sale a couple of times before. Oddly, no mention of JLR factory build in those days.
There are a few threads about it on xj40.com.
In 2014: https://www.xj40.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=7527
In 2012: https://www.xj40.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4616
IIRC it was also offered in 2009.
Jaguar was taken over by TATA to form JLR in 2008 - but the heritage part was called JDHT until a fair bit later.

Re: EBay Finds
One local undertaker had a fleet of KV6 powered Rover 800s. I'm surprised that the steam caused by the fucked head gaskets didn't put the fire out in the crematorium.

Re: EBay Finds
Officially it was the Perkins MDI in automotive applications and officially it made no more noise that a 1.6S series when installed in a Montego. The noise was just 'of a different order'.

Re: EBay Finds
It doesn't actually look any worse than a normal 206, which I admit isn't a very high bar.

It makes LBFs monologues seem like brief notes.
