What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I never do swaps with randomers. Must be a reason why someone wants to swap and well could be a turd.

Someone offered a swap for a 307cc on my Clio 172. No way anyone would say yes to that.

I would give it a full going over. I've never drove one. I can imagine it being a very similar drive to the mx5.

Momentous day for me, in a way. I’ve just cancelled the renewal on my Private Hire insurance . First time in 26 years I won’t have a “ cab” policy. Spoke to my broker of 15 years and he was just surprised I’d kept it this long, reckons about75% of his customers have knocked it on the head , most retiring. On the positive side , in a year or so when I want to go back to it there won’t be as much competition!
Anyway private policy on the Merc is £250 and it also means Mrs can use it too- PH policies only allow licensed drivers to drive. So saved £1300 . Plus won’t be renewing the plate , that’s another £467 saved.

I think I've got a new best freind. Tightened some taps up for my neighbour with the trafic vans, fireplace shop and the porsche 911.
He asked if I fancied a go in his 2017 cooper works. Remapped to 300bhp! He gave me the keys and said go enjoy yourself. Fuck me it's rapid. Any gear and it just takes off popping and banging like a cunt. Probably the fastest car I've drove. Too much tech inside though. It even parks itself ffs.

I must be the only person who can buy a soft top car in the winter and not be able to sell it at a loss in the summer. I have only tried Autoshite so far, my mate did put it on marketplace, with a shit description.
It's surprising how many people think no swaps will not apply to them.
