Not a bad price potentially. The W-word is a tad off putting though and it's only done tens of miles since it's last MOT in 2016. In Nibblets neck of the woods.

I read that as it's that bad we can't really hide the fact it's pox rotten. Would definitely require a through poking to determine the extent before purchase.

That's exactly what went through my mind and haven't rushed out to see it. Not least black isn't my favourite colour in them. I like black cars generally but Moggies seem most right to me in Green or White.

Plus black cars I find are invisible to a lot of the general public. Not great in a slow, old classic.

£1850 now - not too bad a price if a small bit of welding needed. Just messaged asking if they have any photos of that drivers side/chassis leg area that needs welding...

Is it a big job to do on these? Panels are available of course but doesn't mean its not a potential ballache of a job.

The minor I have had in was finished yesterday 700 quid in welding (about 5 days) plus a lot of panels that weren't too bad a fit. This one actually looked pretty solid until we started welding. The floors were bad due to water ingress, I will stick some photo's up when it is finished. Once the rust sets in they certainly know how to rot.

I wish my Dolomite was that cheap to do! I've spent far more than on just panels. 😣

Messaged the seller of that Moggie, bare in mind it was relisted two hours before I sent a message but he marked it as sold again.

I've been keeping a close eye on this. Started at 4k, then 3.5k, then 3k and now 2.25k with a BIN of £3.1k. Someone has just bidded finally at 2.25k.

I'm very tempted at this price but its a very short MOT. That sill looks weldable but awfully thin tin to patch. Patch to get through next MOT then replace them properly after the Dolomite. However I fear that trying to weld that area will just lead to a much bigger area needing attention. Plus now people have started bidding, I suspect its going to be shooting back up in price now.

BUT I have found that auctions with areas that show areas definitely need welding tend to be very slow and scares away most bidders. Even the chancers who don't complete the deal.
