Stick to installing leaks. Sarcasm doesn't suit you.

Well don't ask me ya technospaz, we can't see a damn thing to do with PMs from the admin side of stuff.

Check ya outbox, if it's still unread you should see it there still & can check who it's sent too etc.

Crocs runs his MGB on LPG I think, I don't recall him saying he had any issues once it was setup. I can't recall if you are meant to have a 'luber' for valve seats if it's not an unleaded conversion or not though.

I'd have had it for half that, but even I couldn't justify splunking that much on it.

This would be a nice project. Still on the pricey side and why it hasn't sold, but would be a nice thing when finished. I reckon it should be a good couple grand less. (Really should be the price of that Beige one, but world is silly at the moment)

Anyway, now onto seeing if I can get a road ready Moggie for sub 3k (ideally 2k)... 😁
As I've said before, I genuinely thought I paid over the odds for my Mini at £1750. TBH I'd have paid more if needed, but I'm glad I didn't.

I guess the danger IS - if you want a Mini, nothing else is one. Yes, the market might correct itself a bit - but how many people are STILL waiting for the great house price correction to happen. For the arse to fall out of the market. "They can't keep going up and up you know". And yet, here we are. No doubt someone will be along momentarily to tell me that, as of next month, my house will be worth £3,500 like it was when new, but yet it never happens.

Prices are up because, as you say, people have got cash on the hip - want to enjoy their freedom this summer and are making up for lost time. But with international holidays still looking unlikely this year, and a lot of people still coming out of COVID on top, what's to say they won't accelerate again?

TL:DR - buy what it is you actually want. If it's a Minor, brilliant. They're charming little beggars. If it's a Mini, brilliant. They're utterly terrible by almost every tangible measurement. I like mine because of that, not in spite of it.

I've definitely replied. But as I'm not a plumber, I've only just found the time to do so now.

In 2007 I bought a 1 lady owner J-reg Mini Mayfair in BRG with 50k miles for £150 from a Toyota dealer with one days test left. I needed a bit of welding but was otherwise mint.

I know a bloke who runs an A-series Maestro on LPG. Reckons its the best thing for them.

I love stories like this. Because, no matter what you say, someone will quickly come along and say they got one cheaper.

Bloke on FB yesterday “I remember when they Woz £20 m6” followed by “I was paid to take one away LOL” followed by “I was paid £14 million to inherit the British Leyland Heritage fleet” etc.
