Best ever real world car?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I wouldn't want to do without an early Discovery of some sort. They're a good all-rounder.
On the road:
1998 Disco 4.0 V8 (manual)
1994 Vauxhall Calibra 3.0 V6

Running but need fettling:

1986 Honda CBX750F
1991 Maserati 222 SE
1990 Yamaha XJ900F

Tax & MOT-exempt, woohoo!

Bollocks to that yank stuff.

An Alvis Stalwart or a Scammell Explorer would do the same job with much, much more style.

You did fairly well, I reckon that's the longest you've been without mentioning the 'yanks'.

We've all been a bit dumb here.
Obvious really.

Affordable, practical, cheap as buttons to buy, comfortable, easy to get bits for a decent economy I cant think of much else than a citroen xsara picasso. More quiet inside than berlingo and more comfortable, decent towing abilities, available in diesel, petrol, manual and auto. 2.0hdi is a decent lump and quite nippy in standard form, more so with a remap. The 2.0 petrol auto is decent too for refinement in exclusive trim. Facelift models get cruise control etc in top spec trim too. I know they aren't everyone's cup of tea but I cant think of a better decent all rounder.

Another one for Range Rover Classic, fix it with a hammer and/or a welder.

It might go wrong more often than something Germanian but when it does it will not cost the GDP of an average East European country to fix
