I had a mondeo in yesterday for a wheel bearing, it turns out you need a special tool to fit them. Ford prices are a fucking joke they want 400 quid to fit a front wheel bearing. I can buy the tool from Laser (not acheap chineese copy) and do the job for just under that (the tool is over £250)

What fucking moron thought that is a good way to fit a bearing. What was worse is I asked the other garage on site here (they are far bigger than me with 4 ramps and employ a couple of mechanics) if they had the tools.Turns out they don't and they just press them in pushing on the drive flange. When I pointed out this was a bad idea as it risks severe damage to the races and bearings they just said "oh well if it fails I would just tell the customer it's a faulty part" It is no wonder the motor trade gets a bad name.
So no the Mondeo is so far away from being a decent car, even a Picasso is a better bet than anything served up by the blue oval in recent years.

One car does not deliver the goods, you need three. Plus some motorcycles and assorted wheeled items.

1. An xj
2. Van thing/people mover
3. A broken 2cv/Renault 4
Just when I thought I was out they dragged me back in.
