Just found this picture, the 405 (F685MNM and about a year old ) was a 1.9 GRi and towed the bloody great Bessacar as only a company car with free petrol could. Before this I had an Orion 1.6i Ghia and a slightly smaller even older van , I did pick this caravan up with the Orion and even empty it was a bit wobbly. Had about 5 years worth of holidays with that van when the kids were small.

The view from the camper this morning.
I fucked off to Cornwall yesterday.
Bit foggy this morning, fog horn has been blaring all night, I thought it was my mate in the tent farting after all the Guinness he drank yesterday.
Off fishing in a bit, mackerel and hopefully some bass on the BBQ later.

Another site review coming tomorrow as we are off to Skegness till Saturday. This site has a fishing lake which is good,last time we went to this site we stayed in a static and fishing lakes were well stocked. The focus is a lot more comfortable and refined than the N reg proton 1.5 mpi auto we had last time we went too.
Seen a few folk on some face book group has recommended Woolacombe Bay. Looked online and the site has amazing views,wide likes it too. Must remember to stay away from Porlock Hill with the van on though! My dad made that mistake when I was a kid. 130 odd bhp volvo 240 GLT auto,2 adults,5 kids and 2 dogs plus an early 90s 20ft avondale van. I don't think the volvo ever recovered from That escapade.

Woolacombe bay is really nice but we stayed on the site at the top of the hill rather than the ones nearer town, it was about 20 minutes or so walk down a fairly steep hill into the village.
Parking is a bit hit and miss - you may be better if you can manage the disabled parking.

Edit we stayed at Little Roadway Farm Camping Park, basic site, nice owners, small shop on site. Approach roads were reasonably narrow but not bad, quite a few certified locations around the area for very little money a night. Chip shop we went to in town was good. Kids enjoyed the beach and surfing, beach is plenty big enough to get away from people.

The site I'm on about I'd on a hill with sea views. Looks beautiful.

There's a really nice looking one at the far end of woolacombe bay that looks over the beach towards woolacombe.
