Tomorrow's chip wrapper.....Don't worry about it - serious buyers aren't going to be reading that collection of stereotypical paragraphs. Slow news day.....

The clue is at the bottom right hand of the page shown. Do you want a white stick?

Yes I do need a white stick ! I must get my eyes tested as I had to enlarge the page to see that. I have never advertised it with them so it seems odd they picked up on it. I was going to have a bit of a complaint about it but as it's Autocar and not the classic car press I doubt any potential buyer will see it. I don't mind the criticism it is just the publishing it without asking that pisses me off. No offence to any of the journo's on here but I am getting pretty fed up with some of the shit they publish without asking first. PC put a piece about my hearse in there over a year after I spoke to them and what they printed was just complete bollocks. It seems in the internet age these "writers" can pinch what they like and not even bother asking the owners if it is ok. I am getting much more grumpy about this as I get older. I still haven't forgotten the muppet who promised to pay my expences when I took my Fregate to a photo shoot. He gave it all the bollocks saying they would buy us lunch and pay the fuel. Lunch was a can of coke a stale sandwich and a kitkat.

It's been happening for years. I used to work at a country garage, we had all sorts of crap there, including a few cars I was selling. There's a journalist called Paul Guiness who used to wander around and take photos which would then appear in Classic Car Mart. I met him once wandering around, although he didn't say who he was I recognised him later from his photo. Cheeky.

It may well be a new year but it is the same old wallet raping from the 'turd. The block has gone off today for a rebore and possible crank grind. They are also changing the camshaft bearings and cleaning the oil ways whilst it is out. I havn't asked how much but they did quote £160 for the rebore so hopefully I can get the rebuild done for under a grand.

I think that's a bargain for reboring a V8, I was paying £20 a cylinder at mates rates years ago.

Can I be most nosey and ask about the costs of getting this here and how you went about it. I fancy a yank tradesman's van, the ones already here are stupid money unless you happen to drop across on direct from a USAF base.
Did the shippers sort your collection and title transfer, did you send the money to them to pay the seller when they picked it up or send large amounts of money to someone you have never met over the internet?
