As I cannot go any further right now what with Spigots and possibly spacers needed for rears I thought I would check out the exhaust routing?

The passengers side I thought i might get away with as the rims are about another 20mm wider and there is a little space

But the Drivers Side!

Oh Bugger!!!!!!

I cab have them cut, bent re welded etc but the odd shaped fuel tank on these will always be an issue :(

Soooo........................................

Thinking it might be best to go the original factory route and have them cut at the rear axel and snaked over to the rear right and out under the bumper as Ford intended ;)

Still duals in every sense but coming out both next to one another through a couple of cherry Red Glass packs :P Albeit a bit like this?

Thoughts?

I prefer exhausts coming out the back, side pipes normally look awful on cars.

Think it'll be easier in the long run as it will never effect any wheel choices then :)
Plus i find fumes always get inside the car with sides :(
As its not a full exhaust I am hoping its not going to cost too much, just need to get it back on the road so i can drive it somewhere to do the deed

I'm pretty sure most cars have vents in the boot area to promote airflow though the car, so I'm not surprised you get fumes from those pipes.

Hence the old 'airflow Cortina' adverts.

Plus one will always hang on the squint and wobble about, and that looks silly. Bring them both out the back.

And so it was the can of worms has well and truly started to be opened!
Done a temporary heater bypas today for no other reason but to remove my HVAC box! Top hose came off to easy and I managed to gash my hand 😞
Bottom hose won’t budge so disconnected at the heater valve instead πŸ˜‰ ran the car up to temp no leaks πŸ™‚
I put a drain pan under the car to catch coolant and you’ve guessed it, missed the pan completely 🀬
I scientifically poured water down from pipes to see where it would land? The coolant had different ideas 🀣
Still need to take the box out but at least the core is now empty πŸ€—
Need to get more coolant tomorrow but was enough to run it back and forth after burping it so reverse clean up the mess and park!
Tomorrow I’ll pull the heater box πŸ˜‰
