Dunno, I moved it on quite sharpish so didn't get to find out much about it.

A couple of new arrivals today, first up a 2.5 tdi Audi A6 on 230k, drives well and has the 6 speed box for ultimate fuel economy. It was covered in dog hair and mud in the back and had about 20 air fresheners stuffed into various places. We vacuumed the majority of the hair and chucked out the air fresheners and didn't seem to bad inside.

The other car was also a 2.5 and smelled a lot worse inside...

It has a v6 from a Vectra under the bonnet and goes very well.

That aldi looks good, from the days they made practical cars.

I always wanted to get a Nova saloon, RWD it with a small block & make a half scale Nascar.

Has the Nova got an F28 gearbox in it?

I think the previous owner mentioned an f20 gearbox.

A mate of mine loves those old TDI A6 Avants. His is as rough as Nicola H's post-op beaver so may require another one.

Ah, I'd mind anyone giving it death then. The F20 can't handle the torque of the V6 on a permanent basis. I was driving a Mk2 Astra conversion and 3rd dropped into the bottom of the box. It'd already chewed its way through an F16 and another F20 before that

That sounds like the perfect reason to sell it before it breaks!
