My slightly knackered old cars

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I always find the boys at the tip appreciate* an unusual vehicle. (Well they did ask if I was dumping my Mk Vi in the skip while I was there)

Latest "Win" on eBay an incredibly rough 1996 Suzuki Samurai Sport for £180, it's utterly hanging and doesn't run but the chassis is good and it had the original cat fitted so might be worth weighing the cat in and scrapping the body!

I do like those SJs, such basic but capable motors.

They fetch good money! Is it completely unable to get a MOT despite being on a chassis?

Skoda has aged well.

If you break it can I buy the metal glovebox catch? It's the same as what holds the seat down on the boys scooter and his has snapped. It's an mot fail without it.

Put a big zip tie or bungee cord round the seat.

Awful to drive but they're bomb-proof and they sell themselves

I found my Sj410 surprisingly comfy too, much nicer than the Series LR they resemble a 3/4 scale model of.
