My slightly knackered old cars

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I bought this from the beige for £90, spent a couple of hours welding it on Sunday then got it in for an early mot today where it passed. £135 for a practically brand new car with 13 months mot is pretty good even if it is a shitty Ford Ka.

The Lada also passed but has a list of advisories that need looking at.

Ka will be a good winter beater, saving your rarer ones from gritted roads.

Yeah, I think we'll use it for the winter and sell it on next year. I do currently have too many cars which are mot'd, taxed and insured so need to make a conscious decision to take some of them off the road for winter.

I won a Mini Cooper S for £13 in a raffle.

Used it over a weekend and swapped it for a 205 auto.

I bought another Subaru "BRAT" pickup there's been some debate as to whether it's a genuine BRAT or not because it features a few accessories like the bullbar, rollbar, tail light guards, sunroof, Brat decals etc. I'm really not sure...

I've not had a chance to see them in the daylight but both the Subaru and 205 look pretty good.

I can make some of those BRAT decals if they add significant value.....or TAMIYA for that matter ;)

I thought they were all Brats, I didn't realise it was a particular version of the pick up.

I always thought Brat was just the American name for them. Australians call them Brumby. Either way, I want one.

Would have been interesting if you had entered the 306 raffle and won that too 😁

If I had one it would end up as a Tamiya RC tribute....
