It looks like the Senator had extra rustproofing from new. There are grommet holes in a few places. It passed its mot yesterday and the tester said it was in very good condition underneath. It’s never been welded.

The Royale has had a bit of welding-underneath and the strut towers have been done. It needs a bit on the sills and rear chassis but not much. It’s also in fairly good condition generally underneath. I’ve done the four wheel arches underneath-rubbing off muck and under seal and retreating with Vactan, epoxy primer, black gloss and then under seal with wax oil.
