I have bought a faultmate off a bloke on the disco3 forum so I can brick all my electrical stuff.
Awaiting delivery.
Meantime my one remaining viable key only unlocks the car when it feels like it.

Back on thread - what kind have you bought?
2005 Land Rover Discovery SE Manual
2003 Mercedes E320 Estate
1968 AMC Rebel SST Convertible
1967 AMC Rebel SST Convertible (for parts)
1994 Fleetwood Colchester 1850 EB

Hoping for roffle win :)

Is that the same question with emphasis, or two questions ?

Because I had a reasonable experience with one for a reasonable amount of time?

Because it's a capable and sensible people, load and caravan lugger?

Because I was ill and off my tits on morphine?

😬

Having seen how the driving dynamics are much improved over the D1 and D2 and how actually useable they are day-to-day I actually started looking for an auto (my first preference initially) with less miles on it etc etc. Found one. Drove it. Bought it. 2007 HSE. Nice condition and looked after.

I did toy with keeping them both but, well, D3.

So one out, one in (considerably more expensive, but all work done). Will sell the Insignia estate as well, oh can use it whilst she's working from home as mpg is meh, still superb 7seater and towcar. Win.

Or, utter, utter ruin. 😁

So, small update. Again.

Insurance-higher.
Tax- considerably higher.
Fuel consumption- muhahahha. Ow.

Actually, not bad really, 28 easily on a reasonable run.

Comfort and easy of driving- superb. Wife describes it as 'driving an armchair'.
HSE spec is decent-everything seems to work. Except front screen - not tried it yet 😬

Sam, somewhat poorer.

Minor update.

Discovered the D3 auto driveline shudder.

Added snake oil. Shudder mostly stopped. Ace stuff.

Going in on Tuesday for the metal pan and filter conversion - the oil is nice and clean but I reckon the filters been in there since new/maybe one change.

Wife still likes it. I have set both mirrors to dip all the way to the floor as a minor irritation for her - I've since been told off. :-)
