Eddie Honda's wheels of steel (and occasionally alloy)

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Earliest I can book at the minute is next Thursday (21st)

I really should have checked them before taking it in. I made the same schoolboy error years ago with the 106. Passed on every-bloody-thing apart from the aim. A retest only examines the fail or associated items, so onto the lane, check with beamsetters and back out. 5 mins tops. It's a pain in the arse when a headlamp bulb blows as it means €28 retest. Any other light would be a free visual check in the car park.

I don't think I posted about it at the time, but Mrs H took the M-i-L and kids on a few days away down Co Kerry late July. Discussing rest options at the services I told her that M7/J23 - Barack Obama Plaza would be a good option distance-wise.

but to be aware of the exit slip, it's not exactly long, downhill and has a sharp turn.

Obviously, she didn't fucking listen and whilst not mangling the front of the car, did leave an impression

Because Falmouth Kearney, was Barack Obama's maternal great-great-great grandfather. He was from Moneygall, Co Offaly.

Not having much luck on the exhaust fannymold hunt at the moment. I've climb over some things in the shed and see a couple more cylinder heads, a sump, another SU carb and only found this one so far, but it's a Regal one with the part number 6353 cast on it, the ports are tiny!

Like Bonio, I still haven't found what I'm looking for.

I did however find this pair of worry meters, bought from Pringles in North Shields

I can't remember if I bought them for this tricycle or another previous car. Thinking about it, it may have been my brown Kitten, so about 20 years ago. They can still be had for similar money in 2021.

Probably never got round to fitting the oil one as it's a lot of faffing around routing a capillary pipe. Especially one that could be a wee bit shorter.

Only if you ignore Bush and Trump.
