If they'd cut that off at the C-post I'd sort of like it. As it is, it's just a fucking mess.

I would be surprised if it actually is 6x6 unless they've managed to make a through axle

No, they didn't manage that. Ad states it is still 6 x 4 so presume just a tag axle.

A curious old bus but I find the proportions of those long nose 6-pot cars to be really obnoxious.

The reinstating of the pre-war headlight setup really shows how conservative UK car designers were at the time, the bonnet and grille are straight out of 1935.

It was really only Standard and Jowett who were able to produced a genuinely modern-looking British car in the late Forties, the other major manufacturers were just warming over pre-war shapes so perhaps Morris actually had a slight edge on those with their new cars.

I do agree regarding the proportions - that bodyshell worked a lot better on the four cylinder cars and wasn't helped by Nuffield's insistence on retaining traditional radiator grille shapes on the MS and the Wolseley 4 and 6 pots.

Might need to change these rubber hoses...

I agree that the the proportions are - notable. But I think that is why I like it. Sort of makes it look like a well executed custom-job on a Minor from 1972.

What would I change? Longer nose and a straight eight!

I don't know much about these really. Apparently they're a posh Moggie? Well over a week to finish as an auction though. Not sure why people do it for so long, as long forgotten it's on by the finish time. Also shit advert.

I won't deny, I don't like big wood dashboards in cars. Also I know they probably did it for symmetry, but the passenger isn't the one to need the oil, fuel and water stats.

Given it's down the road and the current bidding price, it would be rude not to. Even if I would imagine it's going to go for a fair bit more. It looks alright up top, so probably £2k to 3k end price?

More of a heavy Minor than just a posh one. The Wolseley is the shit one, Riley has bigger, ie adequate, front brakes, a bit more “poke” from it’s twin carb engine, a tachometer and much higher gearing (20 mph per Thousand rpm). Very Hyacinth Bucket, the Wolseley 1500, and just as joyless.
