Had some time to go over the Mito Saturday morning.
Not sure if I mentioned it but, when I bought it, the gear lever was positioned wrong, I was having a fiddle with it one evening and put it in the correct position, only to find I had no gears at all.
It wasn't at my lock up at this point so I put it away and decided to look again another day. After going over it a bit last Saturday and making sure it was all bolted together right, I got looking at the gears again and couldn't get anything still, so, a bit worried now, I put it away again and had to wait till Saturday for more playtime.
Happily, after removing the clutch cover, I saw the selector pawl was out of its groove on the drum, due to me fucking about with the pedal originally.
Clicked it back in and success! Gears restored!
Then I took it for a little blast and, fell in love with it.
Such a noisy, smokey, peaky little fucker. Lovely.

As per the non-grumpy post in the grumpy thead I seem to have solved the thirsty problem with my 14, I did a guesswork adjustment of the secondary throttle sensor, it's only worked & the thing is as responsive as I'd forgot it should be and doing the right MPG again.
To expand on that, it's got a second set of throttle butterflies that are controlled by the ECU. They open gradually from idle to about 3.4-5k, they are to keep the gas flow speeds up in the intake so it's smoother at low revs. The ECU uses a stepper motor to adjust them & has a position sensor to know where they are. The sensor was set correctly but I knew when I'd first touched it years ago (to cure another fault with idle speeds) it was set to a higher resistance. So I 'turned it up' a bit, meaning the ECU thinks the secondaries are open slightly less than it did before. Now it's opening them a bit more & the bike is running a lot freer, I guess it was rich as they were choking it slightly.
I couldn't adjust it too much as it's the same sensor & stepper motor that does the fast idle when cold. Fully shut on the throttles & back a bit more pushes the fast idle cam. So if this sensor is too far out compared to where the throttle sensor is when the bike is cold it throws up another error code.
