Are these prone to top coil failure? Maybe an earth fault or a kill switch connected wrong from when you had the clocks/ headlight apart? Does it spark with the run/stop in the wrong position (if it has one?)

Nah I tried it flicked off to prove that, good idea though.

Doesn't matter now anyway, as somehow spending days fixing her bike, showing her what I was doing & teaching her mechanical stuff translates to being a sexist, racist chauvinistic wanker she never wants to speak to again..

I guess she can fix her own bikes now.
