Two wheels good.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

I thought World of Sport taught that?

Green Laning is great fun, if you can then go out in the week otherwise the whole experience will be ruined by Nazi ramblers.

Just remember it's pony trekking by motorcycle not enduro practise and you'll get along fine. A 200 mile lap is readily possible depending on daylight.

Indeed when I used to green lane in 4x4s it was quite obvious who the morons who thought it was a race track were or not.

I’ve never off roaded in this country, only in Portugal and Spain. Not sure I fancy all the mud really 😂

I found that Speedway is THE most knackering bike sport I've ever done. Tried it at Scunthorpe.

Riding round a 90 metre shale circuit on a 125cc Chinese engine in a speedway chassis. Sounded like a piece of piss, probably the furthest away from it as you could get. But funny as fuck.

Very nearly bought a Husaberg 650 Supermoto, but when it stalled, I found I could not kick it over with the left hand kickstart. Hence ending up with a Honda XR650R instead.

Never tried speedway. No brakes! The Husabergs we were riding all had a little button on the handlebars that started the engine 😂. No problem 😉

The Husaberg I rode would have been one of the first models maybe an '86 or '88, I jumped on and rode it round, got back and said to the owner that doesn't half go well for a 250. It should have donr as it was either a 400 or 500, didn't feel anywhere near that heavy.
Would definitely buy one to put in the shed if one came up at the right price. God knows where you would get engine parts though, I know they had problems getting engine spares for that one in the 90s!

The KTM dealer (my mate!) didn't tell me that he had jump started it about 5 minutes before my appointed test ride because the battery was wankered. Hence needing to kick it.

Only bike I have owned with a left kick start was my Morini 3½, which could be kicked over by hand.

I miss kickstarters.

And starting handles.

I spent my school teenage years scrambling about off road. DT250, XL250, XR200, PE250, a Montessa with a Kawasaki 175 etc. Would love to get back into it.
It made riding a road bike a piece of piss.

I've had my Aprilia etx up for sale for months with no real interest.
It's a 2 stroke 125 with a 140 barrel, 34mm dellorto carb, pneumatic powervalve.
It goes very well and can technically still be ridden on L plates.
I hadn't ridden it since July when the MOT ran out and had bought a much slower MZ to use instead.
When I'm riding a 2 stroke all I want to do is ride it flat out full throttle everywhere, the mz is so slow that it would be difficult to get caught speeding, I think the top speed is an indicated 65mph whereas the Aprilia will do over 70 and get up to speed quickly.
I took the Aprilia for its MOT in October and it was brilliant fun to be back on it, I don't think it'll sell anytime soon so I really should get some use out of it.
