Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Two hours, 108 reactions & it got deleted. I'm surprised it lasted so long, that page is run my Ride mag & they are shit scared of anything actually funny in case people think it's offensive.

Tomorrow is a big day for my trike. I'm gonna brim the tank and hope for the best. 1st and 3rd gear have an almighty whine from the box, first actually sounds like an old scammell transmission whine on acceleration and third is more of a rattle. I'm part of an escort for a friends brothers funeral procession. wish me luck.

Good luck Roland.

I imagine it's nothing to do with Bub giving it death off the line all the time at junctions?

Trike has had engine service, gearbox drain flush and refill and topped up rear diff. Rear diff was around 100ml down on what it should have been, gearbox oil was like glitter and only had around 200ml In it when it should have been closer to 700ml. New battery has helped the slow starting but the starter itself is still sticking on the solenoid and the rev counter is reading around a quarter of the actual revs. Also the new battery seems to make the trike run better at higher speeds, maybe more voltage is helping the electronic ignition? Took trike a little run earlier and theres a bit less backlash through the gearbox which is a good thing but still has a whine in first and a judder through the clutch on acceleration from a standing start under load like on hills. The good thing is with the trike it will happily pull away in second on the flat and being with a funeral I cant see me needing to do any quick starts either. Admittedly I'm not looking forward to the weather. My bike trousers have seemingly shrunk over the 8 years I've owned them ( shrunk, honest) and I dont have any decent gloves anymore so resorting to a pair of thermal gloves which aren't designed to meet 50mph wind blasts and a woolly hat that has blown off more than i can count 🤣🤣

I dont give it death that often. Only when some chav in a corsa tries racing it off the line. With 149bhp per ton it can shift ok from a standing start up to around 45 ish.
