Two wheels good.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Too true, although you have to ride through France to get here unless you have deep pockets to get the ferry to Santander/Bilbao.

From what I've heard on various FB groups the ferry is pretty full this year anyway.

Dunno if I mentioned it but the sidestand switch no longer works, so I've contacted Dynojet to see what they say.

Some one the owner's group says it happened to them & sent me a map to fix it. But as he's got a different exhaust/filter combo I'll see what comes back from Dynojet first.
To update this one, I had an email by half ten this morning asking exactly what map I'd put on to confirm the software version of my ECU etc. I replied & told them what bits I'd fitted asking to confirm I'd picked the best map. I also commented I really liked how the map I'd used had made it more responsive & smoother at low revs. By eleven I'd got a reply with an edited map to enable the side stand switch and a comment they'd tweaked it to further improve the power at low revs.

Can't fault that for customer service can you?

Obviously I then took the Hornet out for a run as it hadn't moved in ages. I've put the new map on the HD tonight, but not test rode it. When I do I'll also use the autotune options to allow it to fine tune itself.

Wait till it shits it's gearbag and cracks a piston.
SiC says it's guaranteed.

More likely to do that without the remap tbh.

It'd be lean & throwing a fault code for the missing O2 sensor if it was running it's original map. as for the gearbag, people 'stage 4' these. That's a 128" set of pistons and barrels, up from the standard 107". That's 1,745cc to 2,098cc to us. Plus hot cams, lots of headwork & maybe oversized valves, plus the breathing mods to suit. I think the gearbag will be ok with what I've done as it'll be 10% or so up on power, it's a lot nicer in normal use though.
