They're quite a cool little thing, if we lived in a world where I could reasonably expect it still to be there if I left it for more than a few minutes I wouldn't mind one or a Yamaha Slider.

It is very nickable, agreed. It's the high mudguards wot do it.
The fella at the bike shop didn't understand that I wouldn't leave it unlocked and unattended when I left it for MOT.
He also didn't understand why I took it to the Isle of Man

Re: Two wheels good.
Ignition switch rebuilt, after drilling out the two security bolts that hold it together. They were those ones that the head snaps off as they are done up, replaced with normal screws & a drop of thread lock.
The steering lock section was full of what felt like gray grinding paste so was cleaned up & greased with normal grease, as was the pivot at the bottom where the spring loaded centre section turns on. The electrical bit was covered in what felt like sludge from the bottom of a pond, no wonder it had contact issues. That got cleaned & smeared with silicon electrical grease.
Putting it all back was still giving issues with the fuel pump, but I located the relay & cleaned it's contacts. Everything seems good now.
The next trick is find the right connectors for the oil temp switch (controls the fan) as the wires have snapped off that. I'm suspecting to get them & the tool to get the old ones out won't be cheap for a once in 20years job so it might just get 3mm female spades & a bit of silicon to waterproof it as it faces forwards.

Those snap off bolts will usually come undone if you give them a smack in the correct direction with a sharp chisel or screwdriver.

Re: Two wheels good.
True, but they are rather recessed so no room to do that. Drilling the head out off centre (because I'm crap with a punch) gave me a face to hit with the punch & turn them till they came loose.

Looks Honda to me. I think it might be a bit shopped, Janis pegged it in 1970 and that’s an eighties design. Unless she’s living in Pudsey with Jim Morrison , Elvis and the Big Bopper.

You'd be surprised how many riders run wide on left handers.
With regards to having chicken strips on the left side of your rear tyre simply find a deserted roundabout on a quiet industrial estate one evening and circle it the wrong way.
