Sadly I live in an Outlaws area. I mean, 1%'s are a fucking rare sight in the UK so why the fuck all bike gangs can't get on with each other is beyond me.

Been out with the MCN boys today, I should be in next week's paper saying I lack confidence in corners. I don't think I'll spoil the plot of the article to say the trainer from Rapid training (who's name I've forgot, sorry mate) made some useful observations that should improve things once I get into the habit of them.

Oh and my old bus hit 150k today too, so that's worth it's own pic. That's 100k in 10 years which shows I've been slacking at times.

All those miles and you cannae go round a corner! You need to sort that out, it's the best part of riding a bike.

I have a pal who is hopeless on corners. Slows right down and wobbles round, clearly shitting his pants. I tried to get him to understand counter steering, but couldn't seem to get his head to accept lean angles.

It's not that bad, I just never feel like the bike is as planted as it should be. From talking to the bloke today I'm carrying too much speed into the corner so I'm not throttling out enough to make the bike squat & drive from the bend.
A few percent off my entry speed gives me the confidence to power it out properly & it feels much better. I just need to make a habit of that & I'm sure my entry speed will go back up to it's current levels & I'll exit even quicker. I normally only suffer it in the wet really, but I'm sure they'll generalise to get all the facts about cornering over in the article.
He did say I'm a fast, confident & safe rider generally. So I can't complain too much.

Slow in, fast out. Or fast in, faster out.

I'm no Barry Sheene btw. I got it wrong plenty times and lost count of how many times I nearly came a cropper.

Hoping to swap my old GS650GT for a Sherco 290 trials bike this week.

Yeah I know the theory, but when your wrist does it's own thing mid bend even though you know you should be winding on then the only fix is to slow down & retrain it.

And talking of Chinese 125s as per the grumpy thread, the new carb I ordered for it on sunday turned up today! Can't fault that for a £11.88 carb, new & delivered for that price.

Shame I forgot to change the delivery address to my parent's place! I'll have to remember to take it with me when I go down to fit it. I'll check the settings too, so I can set the old one the same just out of interest. I've found a few manuals for these carbs & they all contradict each other so it'll be handy to know anyway.

The engine is a YBR clone so this might look familiar to some people.

Looks like SR125 etc, I know you are smart enough to compare how is jetted compared to the original before fitting it but the number of times I see had a new carb fitted but still doesn't run right in adverts tells me some folks aren't.
