Sounds like he was pissed or more likely drugged up.
There'll be cameras at the garage. Keep at the police to chase it up. Totally out of order.

Thing is, even if I was a bit close and refused to move (I didn't even get a chance to!), I don't think smacking a door into someone elses maliciously is the right way to go about it.

As the guy in the pump on the other side said to me, it was all uncalled for and while I don't particuarly care about this car, it could have been some 18yr old kids brand new pride and joy.

Yeah I spoke to the manager of the petrol station straight after and they had all the footage. Couldn't give me the reg number or footage - which I knew would be the case. I would imagine the police will follow it up as its quite an easy case for them.

My parents had someone come towards them, overtaking on a blind corner with solid whitelines down in Devon. They swerved to the side, narrowly missing the oncoming car. Their dashcam caught it and even though it wasn't the best quality, it was sufficent to be used as evidence and that driver got points+etc.

Or they could use it against me that I haven't told them!
Especially if the police contact my insurers. They probably will do as its not coming up on the MID yet as the policy is new and they'll probably want to check I'm all legit.

I wouldn't report it, even though I'm usually pretty paranoid about such things. If subsequently asked I'd say I'd reported it as I was threatened not that my car was damaged.
