What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

In the on-going saga of the 190E, I took it in to the MB specialist today to get my new fuel pump relay. Not only did the foreman fit it for me whilst I had a coffee like a proper Merc owner up in the lounge (never bloody been in there before....) he has delayed the bill until I have at least 2 weeks trouble-free running. I tapped him up about replacing the sunroof drainage tubes and I think that might have to wait for this bloody rain to fuck off. Despite them being mainly into the modern MB rubbish there was a fair amount of old stuff in the workshop - R107 SL and a C107 SLC in there together with a W114 Coupe and a W124 daily in for MOT.

I'm not particularly star-struck at the moment but I do like the German bastards. It's not helping me.....

I think it's time you were reminded of the war.

Whilst there was a dry afternoon I brought the A55 out for an appraisal.

So current jobs lined up are sorting out the intermittent Windtone horns, find out why the fuel gauge doesn't work, flush out Cooling System and replace Antifreeze, Oil and Filter change and grease up, feed the seats, clean carpets and reattach rear passenger armrest.

I can smell that interior from here.....Wonderful! I like that Austin used proper pedals too - my biggest bugbear with Morrises. Looks well cared-for and a sound buy, too.
