What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Managed to get a local farmer to pop over with his tractor, and more importantly, the rear hydraulic bucket, to clear the weeds from my garden.

Nice tractor, modern 4 wheel drive thing, although I've forgotten what brand it is. Cleared 4000 sq metres in about 45 minutes

There is a steep slope to get up/down from the lower garden to the top one. There was, but he spent about 25 minutes altering it and making it into a gentle slope.

I can now drive my car and trailer up to the upper garden for the first time

He also had a go on my Massey 135, which he said was all good. He checked the PTO, hydralics, clutch and brakes, giving me the thumbs up after each of his checks.

I think he also said, mainly through interpretive dance, that he has a rear bucket he might sell (probably because it's knackered-lots of secondhand farm implements here seem to be).

Can't fucking believe it, arrived at the caravan site for the next 2 nights and the bloody car won't start, spins, fires but doesn't pick up.
Fuck, AA on way but I really don't need this every bloody time we come away.

Now that's rather annoying, at least you got there before it broke.

Yep-€70 well spent, seeing as he also checked my tractor over too.

Washed both cars last night (when it had cooled down) and the Jag gets very dirty really quickly. Glad it's booked in for the bootlid to be painted as the paint is dying fast there. Got up early and went out and polished the bugger and by 10:00 it was already too hot to be out so the mutts have missed out so far. I'm going to take them as soon as the temperature drops a bit, absolutely fucking roasting here, the temp is over30 degrees which is bloody unheard of and I am a typical Englishman and therefore whinging madly that: 'It's too fucking hot!'

AA verdict in tank fuel pump failed. Motor Parts Direct and ECP don't list them. Going to try ford when they open in the morning. Access is easy so at least that's something

Unfortunately it's the only pump in the system so it won't run at all.
Rock Auto list them but the holiday will be over by the time it gets here. Fuck sake I'm so sick of bad luck, just never seem to catch a break. Dad's 4x4 is out of test, my uncle has a Merc with a towbar but it's in Boston and it's already on 280k and out of tax.
