What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I had to replace all four central locking actuators on my 2010 leon.
Are you replacing the same quality vag part?

Nine years ago today I had a bump in my van. Time flies.

It's a shit job trying to get the door card off with the door closed. Lots of levering and wrestling finally saw it give up the fight.

The metal panel has the window winder mechanism attached and the glass had to be disconnected from the mechanism.

This stage didnt go too well.

Fucking bastard.

With the panel out of the way, I could drill a hole in the door frame and release the lock.

A replacement glass arrives tomorrow. £26 including postage. Bet it's a cunt of a job to fit. New locking mechanism ordered too.
Looks like you had a smashing time.

Looked outside, it's not cold enough but it sure looks like it could snow.
Which is great, because after work I need to pick up all the broken fence pieces.

I sometimes lurk in this Forum....
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/

Some serious Amby-licking goes on there. All-over black cars have a certain status over there - black with coloured roof is usually Taxi fodder but all-black generally indicates government useage. A very excitable Indian gave me that information when I filled up on the A12 one day and he was beside himself at seeing an original Morris version of his favourite car.....

Some of the YouTube stuff from overseas is excellent. There's one of truck repairs in Pakistan that was outstanding (I was expecting a horror show) making a virtually complete rear chassis from scratch and hot rivetting it all together. They would be welcome to restore my van for me

I watch the Pakistan Truck Channel as well.
The work they do it very good, considering the tools and workspace they have available.
