Sounds like the sender works the wrong way, I've had fuel gauges do the same with the wrong mix of parts.

Pretty sure it's intended on those Orstins....Every one I have come across the needle "parks" on H with ignition off and finds its "level" as it warms up.
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......

Aye so the gauge is weighted the other way to normal then. Odd but just as logical as normal ones I guess.

I thought you all meant it showed H for cold & C for hot in use.

I guess that it's a bit like rev counters that go anti clockwise, they just don't seem right to me.

I bought another Citroen c15 van off eBay. Collecting it on Sunday. The plan is to strip it for parts unless it's extremely solid. If it's solid I'm going to keep it and flog either the lpg Merc or the xm estate.

I advised my ace giffer neighbour not to spend money on a respray to hide the numerous giffer scrapes on his Kia Magentis because he'll only scrape it again. He laughed & agreed with me.
