Things like insurance and registration vary from state to state.
In Louisiana, any vehicle to be used on the road requires:

A title of ownership, notarized. This will show who owns the vehicle and who the escrow (if any) belongs to- ie I own the car but the money came from the bank and I'm paying them for it by installment.
Insurance. Minimum third party, though the vehicle as an object is insured, rather than the driver of the vehicle and the vehicle as an extension of that.
Registration. Look at this rather like the old road tax, except instead of the paper disc in the window we get a metal plate to bolt to the back of the car. There are bearing personalized and club styles that you can pay extra for. Renewed, a sticker comes in the mail to put over the expiring sticky label.
Inspection. Like an MoT test, except we get a sticker in the windshield where you'd have put the tax disc traditionally.
Driver's license. If you want to register a vehicle for road use you have to hold a valid license to use it on the road.

So, registration- there is an "antique" class in this state. Pre-requisite is a certified inspection from a car club or other knowledgeable source to say the car is in factory-original (ie any repairs are done to factory spec, no upgrades etc). Car must be over 25 years old. This class is for vehicles that are used occasionally to go to and from shows or for a quiet Sunday drive. Not a primary means of transportation. Also allows the inspection to be non-required as an item. I can get a personalized plate for about $20 a year though. This is being considered.

Insurance- yeeeeah. Antique class I could probably get for $300 a year. Unfortunately the car has had its frame modified, it is lowered etc etc, so I cannot go down this route. Limited mileage policy (<5000 miles per annum) is about $80 a month fully comp. when added as an additional vehicle to the Jeep and Silverado.

So no, it's not cheap but I would be able to use it like any other car, that also has the added benefit of other people being able to drive it (so long as they have a license and I give the OK).

All good for a laugh.

That's the thing, with this, the original radio still works well.

It's not bad, considering it's a simple class B amplifier (like a cheap transistor radio) using a 75 tube as a preamp and a 42 as a power output. Pretty standard for the day. It was designed to be loud, because a Model A isn'ta particularly quiet car to ride in.

Nice radio set-up, does it occasionally turn itself on and play Keep A-Knockin' ?

Or does it prefer Bony Moronie ?

Understood that your car is not Christine

Could modify the circuit so when the phone connects to the Bluetooth the radio also turns on.. start playing choice tidbits across it from a distance.
