Block looks bare now. Seats look good.

All valves pulled and only one of the sixteen have any problems. I'm guessing manufacturing issues because it's a really strange failure.

Started to clean the springs and fittings up but soaking my fingers in gasoline started to get really really old after the second set so I'm thinking about getting an ultrasound bath...

Someone made a good suggestion re: cleaning of valve guides. Get a gun cleaning set.

I may stop at the sports store tonight and take a look at what they have.

I made a brush to clean the guides. Toothbrush attached to a piece of dowel, trimmed down to fit. The glue is setting right now, I'll give it a proper try tomorrow.

Painted the workshop but it was too plain. Pencil sketch done, need to find my paintbrushes.

Yeah, it's not bad but I want a bit of pop, so color it is. It'll be a lot less subtle once it's done.

That's the way I was wanting to go with it.

Black and dark gray done, drying now. Light gray then color to follow.

I didn't realise it was life size in the first pic! I thought it was a small sketch on a beam or something.

Yup, that's about 12 feet wide.
