Nice work, the majority of which I failed to grasp but I certainly appreciate the result! Although I was expecting to hear a bit of Jackie Brenston....
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......

There's so much to choose from in terms of music; I think instead I'll just test with 1004Hz test tone instead!

Just ordered some parts for another radio, So I added a 1600V .0068 "Orange Drop" capacitor to replace the .0050 film cap that's in there right now as the buffer. The 6V design called for an .0060 but the value of it is critical to prevent the points in the vibrator from burning up. This design calls for .0070 but I've been informed .0068 is close enough.

Yup. The points in the power supply of this need a condenser across them the same as points in a distributor do, for the same reason- stops the points from sparking and burning up quickly.

The voltage spikes can get pretty high so yeah, 1600 volts :)

Cleaned up and wired in the front/rear speaker selector switch. Need to wire in and figure out how to put a speaker on the back shelf.
