Tested it just and the shit or bust fan appears to kick in and out to spec but a bit warm for my liking. I'll carry on driving it like I have been using the heater fan till the second hand relay turns up.

I know but cast iron block and ally head... If the other fan is working properly it should never see that sort of temperature. I only run it that high to test it.

Well, I still haven't sorted that relay

I have just taken it up the road to the mechanic and had it up on the 4 post ramp and it doesn't need welding anywhere! It needs a couple of gaiters now on the driveshafts and steering rack and the rear wheel bearings are rumbling a little bit. It's booked in on the 26th to get it done as he's flat out busy till then.

A bit of Vactan needed in one spot and some cavity wax wouldn't be a bad idea but apart from that pretty much a clean bill of health!

The Z is finally back after a right fuck on with the insurance They left a pensioner who lives 3 miles down back lanes from the nearest shop with no courtesy car for about 2 fucking months. He ended up settling for less than its value to get the thing back, less a 750 excess and no.idea what he settled on to buy it back. They told him salvage was a flat 30 percent of value. Cunts.

So they wrote off a 7k car for 2 ks worth of damage, its a total fucking scam. He bought a door for 300 quid but then paid 1200 or so for it to be fitted, blown in and fettled.

So now a car with superficial damage has a marker on it. Cunts

Finally a bit of progress on the MG B. What a battle trying to jack it safely on the trailer to find the locked wheel/wheels. I ended up using the factory jack in the end after a right fuck on with z low profile Halfords trolley one Then had to resort to a borrowed 3/4 inch ratchet to get the wheel nuts undone on one wheel #monkeyswithuggaduggas

A slight lack of tools, suspected collapsed hose on the front corner, freed the nipple off managed to get the piston to move back a gnats meant we could attempt to get it off the trailer, finally!
