Re: Squire's voitures
I have bought a new (old) car. It arrived yesterday evening. Going to have a closer look at it today in the daylight.

Re: Squire's voitures
I was on a work training course and outside near the hotel was this:
I couldn’t believe my eyes. Not only was a Phase III Standard Vanguard on my wish list (already bought the workshop manual years ago), but it wasn’t very long ago that I was thinking about this exact same car, and how nice a black Vanguard would be. So I made enquiries there and then, spoke to the owner and bought it.

Well.
I am exceptionally jealous, that being my favourite generation of Vanguard. It even has an overdrive, you lucky son of a bitch...
I'd imagine the Phase III must have survival figures barely scraping double figures.

Re: Squire's voitures
Nice. Essex car too. Essex record office in Chelmsford will have the original registration details in one of their old ledgers.
Those cheapo number plates need chucking and some more period-correct ones sourcing. Tippers do pressed ally ones in the correct 3 1/2” characters which are probably the most convincing replicas out there for sensible money.
Looking forward to seeing more.
