I seem to think the Jensen Interceptor may of had an 8 track as standard, I know a lot had them.

Yeah I was thinking afterwards, there probably was something low-volume where an 8 track may have been included. Interceptors seem quite likely to have done. I remember years ago, when I was a kid on a paper round, seeing a 1968 Barracuda with a Radiomobile push-button wireless and matching 8 track player stacked in the dash. I guess the 8 track may have played through the radio speakers and it struck me as the height of cool. Less so, the fucking Perry Como tape that was always in it though.....

Panhard and Merc seem to be on the money with Jensen, apparently when the SP came out it had all the options, including an 8 Track , as standard. No doubt you could specify one in other low volume , prestige cars. But Jensen rebranded a Voxson unit in some cars.

Who the hell was buying them? I can't recall seeing any newer than about 1985.

Old fella up the street passed away recently, his '97 is still on the driveway. I have made a tacit approach.....

I once drove a 2004 Octavia non turbo diesel, it was interesting.
I suppose that actually had a little bit of torque being the SDI engine. Unlike the 1.4 75bhp petrol skoda still fitted till around 2006!
