It's a lot better than my c15 whitch was 2 years older and same engine. Admittedly that was a nigh in 40 year old design. I did have the escort since november and didnt hit the gate posts once!

True, but then poking yourself in the face with a shovel is better than a C15.

I liked our C15.
I'm beginning to feel even more the odd one out here as I liked our Punto as well.

To be honest I liked the c15 for its antiquated charm. I think the berlingo and the picasso both use a similar rear beam to the 405. Unsure about relation to zx but the zx was in production still when the first berlingos came out.

I like the headroom and the smooth ride - they are proper French.

Yeah good little vans just watch the rust as they tend to go under the stonechip. They look solid enough but it is just the rubberised coating holding it all together

I liked the 2 diesel Visas we had a 1.7 and 1.9. they were ultra economical, 200 miles to a watering can full of cherry I was told when I picked the last one up.

It was the driving position i couldn't stand, felt like you were sat on the sun visor. Plus the odd angle of the pedals in a C15 sets off my knee so I limp all day.

Oh & the stupid amount of road noise out of town, I'm sure they are bad for your hearing.

I once drove my c15 from my house near j28 of the m1 to fife and home in a day. I still get tinnitus now. Just been stopped by the rozzers in the van. Apparently I'm not allowed out at 1015pm to go to tesco for snacks. Yay.
In other news the van drives really nice. Smooth and quiet compared to escort. Almost car like in that no drumming or road noise from the rear and it actually accelerates uphill. odd as it only has 10bhp more than the escort but feels a lot more spritely and certainly pulls away better and holds speed better too.
