Managed to get the purple peeled, just leaving the glue behind.

Still need to attack the sticky stuff.
Three big plans for this weekend. Two of which are really risky.
First I want to put up the shelves I’ve ordered from Mr Benzo for the garage (if they turn up) so I can store the car crap.
Second I want to finish the side windows - break off the existing seals, clean up the chrome and get the new seals back on. Reading on the web, judicious use of a hairdryer is recommended. (This is Uber high risk as the Mrs has one, but it’s one of those Dyson dries your hair better things. So if I get caught with it in the garage, this could be my last weekend of posting on here…)
Lastly, and probably most significantly, I want to pull the rear bumper off and see if I can straighten the rear end crash damage a little. BIG JOB!
If I can just get the rear end off and understand where the twist is, it will be a start!
Knowing that it’s probably not been touched for 50 years and at some point, a bunch of the bolts have been stressed, makes me think, I’m in for a struggle!
Maybe Friday night should be going around the bolts with some WD40…
And yes, floor space in the bench area is a bit of a commodity I’m short on, due to winter storage!
