Re: WReX Wagon
Not been a California car for long then or had the sea salt taken it's toll?
If its any consolation at least it has floors and that's an improvement on Panhards it does still look good from the photos we've seen.

Re: WReX Wagon
I think it’s partially the shock of all the crap that the guy forgot to mention and the bubbling under the paint and the crazed paint in the back.DodgeRover wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 6:57 pm Not been a California car for long then or had the sea salt taken it's toll?

Still, it’s a project.
Can anyone spot the issue with this shot? (Hint, hopefully the fix is tightening a bolt).

It looks like a MG Midget if you squint, but nowhere near as good?

Ben, you said that service doesn't count for VW's/Beetles, can you be more consistent please, ta.
Ps, how the fuck have I not seen an Aerial Atom there before? WTF is the story with that?

Re: WReX Wagon
That is what happens buying cars from Americans !!!! Your seller wasn't the same bloke I bought my 2 from was he. I am sure it will be better once you really look over it. Get ready with the pop riveter and expanding foam for the proper US car restoration. Those wipers look like Panhard 24 wipers that are a bit clap hands but not quite. Bens picture makes it look like someone had no idea what he was doing mounting those lights on the bonnet. Surely before drilling holes in a 911 bonnet you would make sure they were in the right place.

A very long one… it came from the UK, via China but 7s are a much more fun drive. It needs to go in spring to free up some funds.Scruffy Bodger wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 8:29 pmBen, you said that service doesn't count for VW's/Beetles, can you be more consistent please, ta.

Re: WReX Wagon
Well, my son started calling the car, the smurf, but I think it has a greater resemblance to Peppa Pig…
The rear end has obviously had a small kerfuffle at some point - more than just a saggy bumpers worth, hence the filler that hasn’t stuck to the bodywork.
Haven’t dared open the front though as I’m still wondering what this does and why it’s sticking out of the bonnet. Some treasures packed inside to sort through. And various hidden treasures abound in the lower bodywork. I’ve had to pull the roof rack off, so it will fit in the yellow cars parking spot, that way, I will be able to get the WReX back in to shelter from the freeze! I wonder what other little surprises it will have for me as I start opening the front and back?
They really did try quite hard, to get the spots on the same axis… look at all the holes they made trying to get ‘just the right spot!’ It’s okay, though as they drain through into the front trunk, so it can collect and store water nicely.
The paint may need a little more than just spit and polish though.
Though if I were to meet the previous owner, I might do a little more than spit. The rear end has obviously had a small kerfuffle at some point - more than just a saggy bumpers worth, hence the filler that hasn’t stuck to the bodywork.
