Very skiddy. I go carbooting with it every Sunday at 6am. The weather's been shit the last two weekends so I haven't bothered.

The first track day I was on we had to keep the roof up. What a fabric roof will do if I flip the car, I have no idea.
I sourced one from GM off the breaker. £180 iirc which is pretty cheap.
Fitting it required most of the interior to be removed.

It was a total ball ache and I reckon it took me about 8 hours over a few days to do it. Never again. I'll pay some fucker the next time.

Refitting and cutting the carpet and trim was a total ball ache as well.

It's a solid bit of kit and I think it may have stiffened the chassis up as a bonus.
I cut a chunk out of my finger nail on a chiselled spot weld trying to squeeze it past all the wires and stuff.

Loads better on the track with the roof off. I'm not sweating like a rapist anymore.
I ordered a pair of new helmets for me and the boy. Only £40ish each from amazon.

He mentioned broken glass if you tip it over in the breifing.
That would be the least of my worries upside down in an mx5 with no roll bar.

I did a track day in the MGF once after spending hundreds preparing it. I lost it on the warm up lap and only by the grace of Allah did I manage to avoid the little shed that doubled as a timing hut.

Top down in the MGF the most scared I felt was leaving Croft circuit when giving it big licks coming home when I realised that was a deer heading almost parallel to me and was about to jump the hedge out of the field and into the road, right where I was aiming for. I shit myself as managed to shed enough speed to avoid the deer landing in the MGF.

I've seen what damage a puppy did to my escort mk2 ghia in about 1992.
It ran out in the road of front of me with no chance to brake. Put a big hole in my valance and went under both wheels. The screams from the puppy and the kids with it still haunt me.
