I will try and do a video next weekend as I am going to give it a proper run of 30 odd miles on friday if it isn't raining.

I have been using the Deek quite a bit over the last couple of weeks and it is growing on me now. I have got a few jobs to do though and have now got a proper set of brake shoes coming from Germany so that should sort the handbrake. I have also noticed how shit the tyres are as the handling is awful and it will spin the wheels in second. They are really old Goodyears so a new set of Hankooks have been ordered, it also needs new wiper blade which may not be so easy to find.

I had a quote to have it repaired of 600 plus parts and vat. So I have offered them a deal for cash of 550 plus vat which they have agreed to pay. That is fine by me as the damage is really minimal and the paint on it has serious orange peel and a decent job done on it will look out of place.

The Deek is now pretty much all sorted. I fitted new tyres this morning along with the handbrake shoe so it now has a working hand brake. Other little jobs were new refils in the wiper blades and resistors on the front indicators as the bulbs were only 10w and made them flash too fast. The courier that hit is has now agreed to pay the £660 estimate that I sent them. (£550 plus vat)

It looks like the Deek might be off to a new home. The bloke seems really keen to buy it and wants to send a deposit as he is actually sticking to the lockdown rules. The best bit is his wife wants him to buy it so they can go classic rallying so at least it will get used.
Now what is next as the Peugeot is only getting a little love due to the stupid price of tyres. I will get it going then punt it off hopefully not losing a fortune in the process.
These are the current hopeful replacements.

Deek might have a limited re-sale market, nobody needs a Jensen Healey so it's down to the 127 or the Bocanegra. Seat seat wins it I reckon.....

Vote 127 for the win it’s an ace little thing. Classic fiat screamer.

Less annoying tag line.
Just when I thought I was out they dragged me back in.
