Not sure if this is a reply to me about the oil cooler? (If so then use the quote button you technocripple.)

I don't read the beige as I am banned from there. And even if I did I wouldn't bother to read duplicate threads.

Why do you think you need an oil cooler?

No need to quote when you were the last to reply.

Which is why I pasted a link to the post in question. If you can't read it, it's not my fault that you're a technoidiot. But we all know that's bollocks as you make new accounts over there anyway.

MGBs are funny cars: mate of mine many years ago ad a tatty as fuck white GT, manual o/d and it was a brilliant car, we did loads of maintenance on it parked on the main road outside his flat including changing the u/js in the prop shaft and re-sealing the sump to stop a few of its leaks. Went like a stabbed rat and was great fun.

I had a mint re-shelled (Heritage no less) B roadster with an Oselli 2.0 litre engine, Weber carb digital ignition and it was a sack of shit and never ran right and didn't feel any faster than a standard one. It broke down outside Lostwithiel one summer eve and the AA came out and tightened the carb up as it was 'loose' (they have thackery washers, not meant to be tight) and cracked the flange on the Weber. They paid to have standard carbs and manifold fitted and had it transported back (incidentally, as with most fueling problems, it was the ignition playing up) it still ran like shit and was about as much fun to drive as having forced dental issues. Flogged it and bought a Merc, never missed the sodding thing and If I was to buy another, I would make sure I drove a few before purchase as they all feel different... in my humble (still fuck off) opinion.

He may not need one but as they are standard fitment from new doing away with it is probably more difficult than just repairing it. I suspect a new filter housing is required to remove it which might not be an easy part to obtain as most people would think having an oil cooler was an upgrade so parts for that will be more common.
