Re: How to buy a car in the lockdown
Oh yes it certainly does !!. I disconnected the vacuum hoses from the boost solenoid and she goes like a rocket. I have cleaned the solenoid and worked it back and forth so it now works better but a new one is on order. I was going to fit the Saab type but no new ones are available so it's genuine Bentley at £183. I have dropped the passenger seat ecu in for repair and insured it ready for Friday when I will tax it. In the history there is a valuation from 2018 for 11 grand so I valued it at 10 and they are happy with that without an independent valuation. It is costing £180 for fully comp unlimited mileage with all the legal and breakdown stuff included. I expect it would of been cheaper if the idiot from next door had owned up to his mistake of running into one of my cars. Even with the CCTV evidence he is still not admitting it. Next jobs will be stripping the rear doors down to sort the electric windows as they make all the noises but go nowhere. I am fairly sure it's just the drive gears and they are under 20 quid each. After that I will do all the front pads and change the fluid, all 5 litres of it !

Panhard's isn't that horrible red, though.....More like the Regal Red of Shadow days than the lurid shade favoured by Blackpool amusement caterers or Asian property developers. See also "Colours that a Vantage should never have been ordered in....."

What's the betting Quinten rang that poor old Bentley. Mine is Burgandy rather than dog dick red luckily. He did get a couple of things wrong as it is 6 3/4 litre not 6.5. He also talks bollocks about the tyres he wants all the proper history when he is buying but won't pay for it to be looked after properly

Quentin is a bollock head, Post Office red is a great colour for these cars as it goes very well with the black headlight surrounds.
