That key and lock arrangement is the same on my Humber, most of the better cars were similar. One key for the doors and ignition, another for the boot and glove box. My Ford has three keys, one for each lock, but I don't think this was intentional!

There has never been an official tow bar for these but I did have one on my old Spirit. It was a dreadful design and just bolted to the bumper irons, I just used it with a bike rack and even that was probably too heavy for it.DodgeRover wrote: ↑Sun Aug 30, 2020 8:37 pm Do they make anything as vulgar as a towbar to fit these? I would think fitted with LPG they would be every bit of a practical caravan hauler with far more prestige than a 4x4

My Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggg is similar. There is a valet key that doesn't open the glovebox or boot (I forget which) and if you push the valet button the dash it keeps the other one locked until a proper key/keyfob is used.fried onions wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 12:02 am That key and lock arrangement is the same on my Humber, most of the better cars were similar. I think so anyway, I saw it in the manual & ignored it as I'll never use it.

The one on my Volvo 244s was. Similar triple circuit design with 4 pot front calipers fed by two cicuits - one hose per set.AutoshiteBoy wrote: ↑Sat Aug 29, 2020 5:59 pm I've never seen any braking system so over-engineered.

I've managed to find a pic from when I was fitting a lift kit & found the brake hoses restricted travel even though the instructions claimed they wouldn't need changing. If I'd not checked & turned the wheel when the axle right down it'd have torn the hoses apart. Ignore the third 'cable' that used to be the pad warning lights but snapped offroad with normal suspension!
This is where the hose got to on full droop without turning the wheel away from it.
Sorry for the thread hijack.

I still miss mine, sometimes then I remember the bills... oh the fucking bills! Oh yes and the chronic unreliability and the fact I had two of the fuckers and they both blew up in catastrophic and expensive ways.
But I believe my name is still top of the list to buy this when Panhard gets bored

You even made it into the newsletter for the SZ register with your last one. FAMOUS! Although I believe setting fire to your Bentley in a Peterborough multi-story and then suing the AA makes you more famous?
