I wonder how much it is a month to disable the car and tell you where it is after it’s been stolen ?..
Sorry we can’t do that because of the high security anti theft systems built into this vehicle stop theft .. oh !

Sorry, I probably read it and then promptly forgot about it. When you're old everything is new.
I only mentioned it in another thread so easily missed assuming you don't read every single post on here.
Even I'm not that sad, yet.

I do of course savour every word my heroes Mario and Monkey post.

Wasn't there some discussion about this some years ago?
Something to do with liability if you disabled the car and the scrotes got hurt as a result, a bit like not chasing bike thieves?

Imagine if this was the eighties.

The back of the car would need a little screen to be the badge on the boot lid so you could be driving a Popular in the morning and a GXL in the afternoon.

Back in 1988, I had a mate called Robbie who was rammed off his GSXR750 by plod during a fail to stop incident.

I recently spent a day driving a near new and fully loaded BMW. If It was mine I would subscribe to have some of the more annoying features deleted. Engine stop/start, lane assist, bleeps, chimes and alerts.

Oh no,that wouldn't happen. Safety features and emissions regulations you see. This is why I keep saying driving standards are falling. Nannies installed to keep you safe yet in doing so means you don't have to pay too much attention!

I've never understood why people hate stop/start so much. Everyone I've ever used has restarted the engine before needing to move off.

Our A4 did 210k miles with it never disabled and still on the original starter+battery by the time it was scrapped.
