These are the best for me - old black and whites: I'd say this was taken around 1965/6. MO Oxford (an early one), Humber Hawk, F Victor (scrap at 6-7 years old), Mark 1 Consul, Morris Six and an Austin A50. All 10-15 years old so could have been a bit earlier.

If you'd spent 15 grand in 1988 on tatty 2 door Escorts and parked them in a dry barn, you'd have nearly half a million quid now. Bizarre.

Yep my other half said something along those lines the other day whilst we were talking about all the cars I have had and weighed in

If I had a time machine you'd never see me again...

In the Reverend's pic the Hawk appears to be a Mk. VI with accident damage. Probably not worth repairing at 10 years old even though it would just be a matter of changing panels - the separate chassis was a beefy affair. Funnily enough the cost and supply problems with front wheel bearings saw many of them off.

Don't know where this is although the Ebay seller says it is 1975 which I see no reason to argue with.....Of particular interest is the AS3 A30 - the early car with round speedo. The A30/A35 Owners Club was already well established by then but even these now-rare versions were still fairly plentiful so it is unlikely to have been spared the baler.

There is an early A30 in a garden in Sheffield, been there for 30 years or more. Every winter as the hedge recedes, out it comes.
