I'd put him up against the Walls myself, then top him.

A good excuse for the Roads to beg the Armed for a loan of a X5.

I was going to collect some slabs for my brother that are more than 62 miles away. No payment involved. Now wondering if I need to take the tow bar off the transit.
Does DIY come under recreation and leisure?
Just been chatting about this, its utterly stupid, if i fetch materials in the van for a paid job i'm doing its business use so I should probably have a tacho due to the tow bar, the same materials, in fact a fully laden van and trailer full to use at my own house and no tacho required.
I would say 90% of the builders vans on the road are running wrong if this is the case.
Drum you've obviously picked your brother up to give you a hand off loading the slabs at your place and you are just going to his for a nice cuppa first?

I certainly don't know any tradesmen with a tacho in their vans or pick ups. I know a bloke (now retired) who was paranoid about not having a tacho in his land rover that he used to deliver firewood in a trailer. I assumed it applied to delivery/haulage type work as opposed to a normal works van.
I'm just an average Joe doing a self build, so should be ok hopefully.

Private use fine, you can go to 7.5T
Problem rears its head when it's hire or reward, needs to be under 3.5T
