's'about right for a 10 year old Classic.....I remember seeing them at that age, all giffer polished with the sidelight pods hanging out of the wings. Right old mudtrap up under the headlamps and the bonnets never seemed correctly aligned either - possibly to do with the forward hingeing being mounted in such a rot-prone area.

There's actually a 1998 Mondeo up on our local bombsite car-lot at the moment which looks far more solid at 24 years old than 10 year old Fords ever did in the Seventies. Sooner have a Classic 315, but still.....

When I was about 4 so 1967ish , I remember my dad helping Mr Sedgley our neighbour put fibreglass wings on his Classic. I can remember being told not to play with the off cuts and bits of matting that were littered around the car. He never painted the wings so it was green with off white front wings until he died 3 years later. I think my Dad scrapped it on his caravan chassis trailer behind his CA Workabus.
