Ha4d to believe how many of these used to be around and now you barely see one. It's in really good nick, including the back bumper. He's had it for years and has no intention of replacing it.
Edit. Was it just the early ones the bumpers suffered on?

Looking thru my phone and there's a couple of Ovlovs I forgot to post ages back too. The one is genuine Lovejoy spec and has been in service for many years. My old man had one for years, one very comfy old barge.

Rarely seen with all of the tail lights working. Is it owned by a coloured person?

Very odd you say that. He's white but called Delbert, in his seventies but still doing his bit. With a name like that I always assumed he was black.

Harvest Gold Maxi that looked to be in good condition. No pics I'm afraid as it was going in the opposite direction just as I turned into the vets. I haven't seen it around here before so I guess that it's not someone local.

Or.....Aaaah, Fuck Right Off. I have to say that these early Mondeos seem thankfully to be passing from "most unmaintained car" status (a crown now well and truly awarded to the Picarsehole) and into more appreciative hands. Might be time to get one before the inevitable "Classic Ford" kiss of death price.

I clocked a couple of non-photographic spots today. Focus was due its MOT (it passed) so I walked the three miles back after dropping it off. It was a nice day, along my former commuting route and I did it just to gloat at all the others.....

Anyhoo....got passed by a lovely pre-Abarth Fiat 124 Spider in that petrol bluey-green colour (I think Fittipaldi used to have one in that shade) and when I stopped for a breather over the river I spied a Volvo 164 in a timber yard. Didn't know that was there.....Also a very nice Palm Green A35 on its original short Wiltshire reg. sporting roof rack and sun visor in a not-over-the-top good way.

Made the walk more pleasant, anyway. The garage doing the MOT (they handle both the Focus and the camper) had a nice herd of stuff in today, too, Mk2 Zephyr and a Pilot were awaiting ramps.

I did take one picture though....this rather raffishly parked P5B outside what used to be my old local. First place I got pissed, first paid job I had and first fight. The car park was better then, too, full of Zodiacs, Corsairs, Triumph 2000s and Mk1 Jags instead of that Odious. Rover belongs to the village garage across the road which was full of interesting stuff and characters back then - I must add a post to my rambling thread about those days.
