You should have seen the skid marks in the lorry driver's shreddies.

She ran out of fuel and stopped in lane TWO? That cunt needs to lose her licence before someone else dies due to her inability to do basic thinking.
On the road:
1998 Disco 4.0 V8 (manual)
1986 Honda CBX750F

Running but need fettling:
1994 Vauxhall Calibra 3.0 V6
1991 Maserati 222 SE
1990 Yamaha XJ900F
1982 Suzuki GSX1100SZ Katana

Or just make sure that their cars have all warning lights, buzzers and driver's airbags removed and replaced with one of those boxing gloves on a coiled spring in the steering wheel hub.....

Why would they insure the car after the accident and not before, if they wanted to commit insurance fraud?

Maybe the insurers cannot be certain of the time of the accident in some cases?
I don't know enough about modern telematics to say but on all of our cars we'd have to inform them unless the police etc. got involved at the time.
