Re: Ancient LR musings

Fuck knows what the nasty remoulds were, all gone now and replaced with tyres that actually hold air. Managed to get it stashed away this evening, and oh - what's that nestled in the back under a tarp?

Re: Ancient LR musings

It nearly fell sideways off the transporter twice while we were unloading it because of the flat tyres.

This being the second transporter, the first having blown up its engine somewhere in Dorset.

What a fucking drag!

Re: Ancient LR musings

So close, yet so far. The man finally collected the "Holy Grail" to make its way home today, but is currently in a paperwork tangle with the bloody French somewhere near Calais. P&O situation is not helping matters.

Re: What did you do today?

No lol, that one has yet to materialise but should arrive in the next couple of weeks. This one turned up poorly listed on eBay, but we decided it was worth a flyer so collected it Saturday. It is disgustingly original and I reckon the 40k miles on the clock are genuine. Already sourced the correct ...

Re: NEED 2 KNOW - importing cars post-glorious independence

Thanks, by "beloved" I meant "sold years ago and was soft enough to buy back" so it won't come under personal tax relief as currently belongs to some Dutch fella.

Transporter is just a man with trailer so if it's easy enough to email the CARS lot then I will just do myself.

NEED 2 KNOW - importing cars post-glorious independence

How does importing cars work now? The vehicle in question will be arriving from Holland on a trailer - is it just a case of get it home, then send off the customs paperwork? My old man is flapping because he thinks his beloved truck will be impounded at the docks and never seen again - I think he's ...
